I am passionate about nearly every art form and enjoy creating in diverse mediums. Currently, 90% of my work is digital. My major driving forces are the structures of human psychology and the exploration of organic aesthetics. I draw inspiration from music, colors, emotions, people, life experiences, history, futuristic technology, and Japanese culture and design, which I deeply admire.
Often, you'll find me behind the camera or in the editing suite, honing my skills in aesthetics, composition, light, and color.
Through visionary thinking and emotional interaction, I aim to inspire and communicate authentic stories of fiction grounded in reality.

Technicals

I primarily shoot with Sony cameras, including the Sony Alpha a7S III for video and the Sony a7 IV for photography. My favorite lenses are from the Sigma Art series, which open up to f/1.4 and work beautifully on both Sony and Canon bodies. The wide aperture combined with the ISO performance of the a7S III is stunning at night.
I also love using Venus Optics primes, such as the Irix Firefly 15mm f/2.4 and the Venus Optics (Laowa) 15mm. These lenses are perfect for wide shots, architecture, and gimbal setups. They are almost free of distortions and incredibly sharp.
Another favorite is my set of vintage NIKKOR f/2.0 lenses, which I use frequently. These lenses, passed down from my dad who used them in the 80s, add a lot of character to my images. Using manual lenses slows down the process, making me more aware of the situation.
Before transitioning to mirrorless full-frame in 2017, I used a Canon 5D MKII, Nikon D810, and Sony RX-100 V. Of course, in the early days, I also worked with very old HDV, CCD, and DV cameras.
I'm a PC enthusiast, relying on NVIDIA graphics cards, Wacom tablets, and Logitech peripherals. The smartphones I currently recommend are the latest from Samsung Galaxy and Sony.
My favorite coffee is from Café Libertad Kollektiv in Hamburg.
